Product Gallery Image Uploading Not In Order

Preconditions and environment

• Magento 2.4.7 >

Steps to reproduce

1. Create a new simple product in the backend.
2. Give it a name, sku and price.
3. Save the product.
4. Go to the Images And Videos tab.
5. Select the browse to find element.
6. Now select multiple images while holding command.
7. Then select open

Expected result

The images you upload are shown in the gallery in order.

Actual result

The images are in a random order and not how you select them

Additional information

In version 2.4.6 this was not the case. It is since 2.4.7.

Thanks for your reporting and collaboration.

We have verified the issue in Latest 2.4-develop instance and the issue is reproducible.Kindly refer the screenshots.

Steps to reproduce

• Create a new simple product in the backend.
• Give it a name, sku and price.
• Save the product.
• Go to the Images And Videos tab.
• Select the browse to find element.
• Now select multiple images while holding command.
• Then select open

The images was uploaded in random order.

Hence Confirming the issue.
