emeritux.sh

A neat Bash script to build and install Enlightenment 23 on Linux Mint Tina.

You are strongly encouraged to use the new version of this script available here: ebarista.sh

Keep in mind that the two scripts are mutually exclusive, so run emeritux.sh to uninstall E23 first, then reinstall the environment using the new script.

Get started

Make sure that the git packages is installed, then clone this repository:

git clone https://github.com/batden/emeritux.git

That creates a new folder named "emeritux" in your home directory.

Please copy the file "emeritux.sh" from this new folder to the download folder.

Now change to the download folder and make the script executable:

chmod +x emeritux.sh

Then issue the following command:

./emeritux.sh

On subsequent runs, open Terminal and simply type:

emeritux.sh

(Use tab completion: Just type eme and press Tab)

Update local repository

Be sure to check for updates at least once a week.

In order to do this, change to ~/emeritux/ and run:

git pull

That's it.

Mind the cows! 🐄 🐄 🐄
