Winmerge 2.16.48.0 x86 and x64 installation gives Runtime error

Hi,

When I try to install WinMerge on Windows 11 Enterprise 23H2 it gives me the following error:

I have tried downloading the exe as zip, but that gives another error when opening WinMergeU.exe (something about a side-by-side configuration or similiar).

Just tested version 2.16.42.1 x64 and that works though

Could you run the installer from a Command Prompt with logging enabled, like this, and attach the generated log file?

Path\to\WinMerge-2.16.48-x64-Setup.exe /log=Path\to\existing\folder\inst.log

Alternatively, could you try installing WinMerge-2.16.44-x64-Setup.exe?
If that version also has issues, the problem might be related to the updated digital signature.
