  • Raspbian Bullseye
sudo apt install git
sudo apt install pigpio
git clone https://github.com/7402/blinkt.git
cd blinkt
make
sudo make install

Notes

To run blinkt, either use sudo:

sudo blinkt

or start the pigpiod daemon:

sudo pigpiod
blinkt

To auto-start pigpiod on boot:

sudo systemctl enable pigpiod

(The LEDs respond faster when not using the daemon.)

If you are viewing your Blinkt! board upside-down from its standard orientation, i.e., the letters "BLINKT!" on the circuit board are upside down, type this command to adjust the numbering direction:

blinkt right
