This release introduces the following new features as compared to the previous v6.7 release:
- Reintroduction of the durability service
- Python DCPS API
- Beta implementation of the Node.js DCPS API

Furthermore, numerous other updates and improvements have been made to the 6.x code base since the previous Open Source release.
Apart from the above listed new features, changes include: performance improvements, footprint improvements, bug fixes, robustness improvements and maintainability improvements.
