Currently, there is no visual feedback when a 3D object is selected in the client. The only change is the appearance of the position/rotation handles. However, their positioning on the screen seems random and it is not obvious at all to which object they refer (especially if the handles are already there). The one exception is parametric objects, which are drawn in wireframe (on top of regular) mode. This is inconsistent with the rest of the UI. In addition, only parametric objects have a hot' behavior, i.e. they turn cyan when the mouse is over them. This adds to the inconsistency and and it gives the (wrong) impression that other objects cannot be selected. Finally, cyan does not really fit the colors in the scene (perhaps the reason it was selected). A better way to highlight selected/hot 3D objects is required. It should apply uniformly to every 3D object in the scene, regardless of its type.
