An NSFormatter subclass that makes it easier to extract only a bit of a string that represents a URL
Sometimes, you only want to extract a section of a passed in URL. For example, if you want to get the id of a gist from https://gist.github.com/12345/ you want to make sure that the base URL is https://gist.github.com and then extract the part of the URL that comes from that and also validate that it is numeric.
