# Party

**Party** lists the other characters at the table — your companions, not your own
character.

- **Add member** creates a new character page or links an existing Codex page, with the
  player's name, the role and whether they are present.
- **What I know** is your private notebook about that companion. It is saved on the same
  Codex page, so it is searchable and shows up in backlinks.
- Images use the same [images](Images.md) as the Codex page.
- **Remove from party** only removes the membership: the page, its notes and its images
  stay.

The party never creates full playable sheets for other characters and never adds
relationships on its own.
