# Rules wiki and SRD catalog Chronexus contains **no** rules catalog. When you want official text, it can look it up for you online — only when you press a button, and only with the term you typed. ## D&D wiki: Wikidot or Open5e **App settings → D&D sources / Wiki** chooses the provider for all campaigns: - **Wikidot D&D 5e** (default) — choose a category (spells, feats, species, backgrounds, classes, magic items) and press **Search on Wikidot**. Chronexus downloads that category's public index, filters the name on your computer and opens the entry. - **Open5e** — search an English term; results show source, edition and licence. Entries are shown as plain text with their source, origin (published, Unearthed Arcana, homebrew), address and licence. Missing fields are shown as missing, never invented. If Wikidot has nothing useful, Chronexus **asks** whether to try Open5e; nothing is sent there unless you accept. For a spell, **Prepare import in sheet** fills the spell form: it is saved only when you press **Save entry**. ## SRD 5.1 catalog From Character, Inventory or Abilities, **Search in D&D** consults the official D&D 5e SRD (2014) API: spells, classes, species, equipment, magic items, features, traits, conditions and rules. Choose **Use this data in the form**, adjust and save: the saved entry is your copy and keeps showing where it came from. ## Offline copies Entries you open are kept on your computer (bounded caches) and work offline after a restart. **Update online** fetches a fresh version only when you ask. **Clear offline cache** (per provider or all, with confirmation) removes only these copies — never your campaigns, saved spells, images, backups or settings. ## Translating an entry An entry can be translated into the interface language **on your computer** with the [local assistant](Local-Assistant.md)'s model. Translations are unreviewed drafts; the original text and its attribution always stay available. No translation service is used.
