Ads still show up but are unable to play. This causes them to stop playback of music and sometimes makes it so I can't get Spotify working anymore no matter how much I refresh or click on other items.

The player stops at some tracks so you have to press play again to resume streaming. IDK if this is adguard bug or not. Sometimes all works fine, sometimes not. Removing cookies helps for a while, but after couple of hours it stucks again.

  • with English filter only(open filtering log before checking and make screenshot of blocked requests when/if the issue will be reproduced)

So the problem is that playback is randomly stops from time to time. Even with repeat enabled (and with disabled too). I tried to use it with in Chrome's Guest mode and with clean Firefox 58 installation (without any extensions) and repeat worked fine there. So I think that problem is on Adguard side.

The problem is happening while listening music on Spotify Web (open.spotify.com), the ADS does NOT play, but it is getting stuck, the image shows you the part where the music/artist name is shown on bottom-left of the page, but it's showing just the "Ads" word and get stuck there until I reload the page.

For more than 2 months, this isn't solved.

On PTT BBS, many other Taiwanese users told me that they met the spotify issue.
AdGuard Pro for iOS lets spotify app not normally work.
Can you solve it early?

When having Adguard enabled, Spotify is able of playing a song in the browser. However, it does not automatically play the next song after the previous one ended (like it should). Spotify moves on to the next song (the seconds from the previous song will remain), nothing will be played.

When having Adguard disabled however, I am not able of playing songs AT ALL. I can load the website, but music won't play when clicking the button.

I just listened to Spotify again for the first time in a long while. Ads seem to get replaced with ~1s silent audio files. The image for the ad pops up at the left, but then disappears again. This repeats a few times and then the next track from the playlist plays. Seems like that's how it's supposed to work.

Active filters: All in "ad blocking", all except third party fonts in "privacy", all in "social widgets", all except obsolete in "annoyances", all in "security", all except self-promotion in "other", both German ones in "language-specific", as well as some auto-activated ones: Dutch, French, Japanese, Russian, Bulgarian, "List-KR".

Can anyone else confirm still hearing ads on Spotify or seeing them for more than a second? Otherwise this report should be closed.

It's not a visual issue really. Just previously AdGuard has blocked Spotify audio adds in the browser player without a problem. Now whenever Spotify tries to play an audio ad it's still blocked but it freezes and doesn't continue onto the next song. Spotify recently updated their browser player so it seems to have to do with that change.

Whenever Spotify has to play some sort of ads after their songs it will block the ad but then the player itself will stop and not play anymore songs until you refresh and keep playing again. I don't mind doing it every now and then but with their most recent update it's becoming more and more annoying as ads happen after every 2 songs.
