Spam Deptection Project: A Spam-mitigation API service in Java Spring Boot, filtering SMS messages for spam, validating UDF/Data Types, and handling message format encoding/decoding. Deployed and managed on AWS using Terraform and GitHub Actions, with services for testing, environment management, and monitoring.
Data Fabric Platform: Designed and prototyped buy/build technologies for API modernization, working with financial organizations to meet data consumer needs and ensure ROI.
Communities of Practice: Established GraphQL and Java Spring Boot communities to transform software development practices.
Vertical Application Stacks: Implemented reference and prototyping stacks with horizontal infrastructure as code assets for scalable, resilient, and continuously deployed Java Spring Boot APIs.

I rejoined Hasura as a founding member of a new product management team, driving the transition to a more process-oriented approach. I led discussions on customer needs, use cases, design decisions, and new feature development, clearing the path for engineering.
I also worked with engineering to synchronize Productboard and JIRA, streamlining processes and improving communication. This enabled more consistent and quality development from ideation to completion.

Building and deploying a push notification server within CDK's internal infrastructure. Leading the challenge series, guiding interns and staff in determining use cases, product fit, and deployment options for internal applications.
Projects at Code Fellows (Feburary 2015 - April 2015)
I co-founded the Portland branch of Code Fellows School, serving as the initial instructor. I led the first multi-week training sessions focused on core web development skills, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and explored various frameworks and libraries. Additional courses covered Git, IDEs, and related tools to provide a comprehensive education for aspiring junior developers.
Project at New Relic (March 2012-November 2014)
While running Deconstructed and while working with Tier 3 and Basho, I collaborated with New Relic to produce various blog series on Platform as a Service (PaaS) technologies, Node.js applications, and other topics. Tier 3 + New Relic - worked on integration and data collection of APM tooling, with their teams to integrate with PAAS environments like Cloud Foundry. Worked with New Relic & Basho for tooling integration around the Riak distributed database and the New Relic APM tooling.
Projects at Basho (December 2012 - August 2013)
Responsible for partnership scouting, assisting on sales calls, and managing partnership integration at New Relic and other companies. Handled community organizing, conference organization, and outreach in the Pacific Northwest, forming and managing the Seattle & Portland Basho & Riak User Groups.
Attended, spoke at, and provided training at various conferences and user groups across the U.S.
Developed and integrated vertical and horizontal projects using JavaScript (Node.js), Ruby (Rails, Sinatra), .NET, and other languages with Riak. Assisted customers with architecture, networking, security, and implementation of Riak, Redis, Neo4j, and Postgres, ensuring high availability, scalability, performance, and resilience in distributed data systems.

I joined Tier 3 in March to lead the Web Fabric PaaS Team, expand the Iron Foundry Community, and advance the Thor Projects. After the initial release of the Tier 3 Web Fabric in May, I focused on advocacy, speaking at various events, and leading community efforts in mentoring and teaching.

Core technology has been centered on Amazon Web Services (AWS) using their respective services: Elastic Beanstalk, CloudFormation, EC2, S3, RDS, Route 53, Identity & Access Management, and SQS. The system built on these AWS services was a core engine and multiple processor services for the engine all built with Node.js 0.10.x.
