Need for Speed Widescreen Fixes

Need for Speed: Underground

\EA GAMES\Need for Speed Underground\scripts\NFSUnderground.WidescreenFix.ini

ResX
Determines your horizontal resolution.
A value of 0 means the widescreen fix automatically uses your native resolution.
Example value: 1920

ResY
Determines your vertical resolution.
A value of 0 means the widescreen fix automatically uses your native resolution.
Example value: 1080

FixHUD
Corrects the aspect ratio of all 2D elements including FMVs.

FixFOV
Corrects the aspect ratio of 3D elements.
Solves an issue with the FOV not scaling proportionally.

Xbox360Scaling
Corrects the proportions of 3D elements to match the Xbox 360 version of Need for Speed Most Wanted.
Use a value of 0 if you prefer the original proportions.

HudWidescreenMode
Moves the HUD to edge of the screen for widescreen resolutions.
Note: The coordinates can be modified in \EA GAMES\Need for Speed Underground\scripts\NFSUnderground.WidescreenFix.dat

FMVWidescreenMode
Crops the top and bottom of videos to fill the screen.

CustomUserFilesDirectoryInGameDir
Profile data will be stored in a specified directory within the game's installation folder.
Example: Using "save" means your profile data will be stored in \EA GAMES\Need for Speed Underground\save
Note: You must run the game as an administrator for this feature to work properly.

ImproveGamepadSupport
Replaces keyboard icons with gamepad icons, and assigns a few actions to the gamepad buttons.
Use a value of 1 for Xbox icons, or a value of 2 for PlayStation icons.
Note: You must use a gamepad that supports Xinput for this to work. If you're using a DualShock you must use an Xinput wrapper.

LeftStickDeadzone
Allows you to adjust the deadzone of your gamepad's left analog stick.

Enables the rear view mirror for all camera views.
Improves the rear view mirror level of detail.
Note: Turn off this feature if your computer is having performance issues.

Increases the brightness of various light sources to match the Xbox 360 version.
Solves a render error in the rear view mirror causing the road to appear too bright.

CarShadowFix
Reduces the car shadow opacity to match the Xbox 360 version.

CustomUserFilesDirectoryInGameDir

WriteSettingsToFile

CrashFix
Solves a compatibility problem with Windows 10 that causes the game to crash and corrupt profile data.
Note: If your profile is already corrupted this won't fix it. You must create a new profile.

Silent Hill 2

FMVWidescreenEnhancementPackCompatibility
Adds support for the FMV Enhancement Pack.
Leave this off unless you're using the FMV Enhancement Pack.

DisableCutsceneBorders
Removes borders that are visible during cutscenes.

SingleCoreAffinity
Limits the game to one CPU core to prevent various bugs from occurring.
Note: This feature may cause the game to freeze on Windows 7.

DisableSafeMode
Prevents the game from changing video settings to default after closing the game.
Note: If you want your settings to save you must exit the game from the main menu.

FastTransitions
Increases the speed of transitions.

CreateLocalFix
Creates a file named "local.fix" in the game's installation folder for anti-aliasing support.

FPSLimit
Determines the framerate cap.
Note: 60 fps causes bugs, so it's recommended to leave this value at 30 for the best experience.

PS2CameraSpeed
Replicates the faster camera speed of the PS2 version.
This feature is intended to work at 30 fps.

GamepadControlsFix
Allows the same button to be assigned to multiple actions.
Note: This applies to the "JoyPad" actions only, not the "Keyboard" actions.

LightingFix
Prevents the flashlight from illuminating objects behind it.
Corrects the lighting mode and fog for one of the ending cutscenes.

ReduceCutsceneFOV
Cutscenes will use vert- scaling to hide off-screen characters.
This feature is best used with DisableCutsceneBorders enabled.

SteamCrashFix
Prevents a crash when Steam's controller configuration is used.

IncreaseNoiseEffectRes
Increases the resolution of the noise effect filter and eliminates tiling.
Mode 1: 640
Mode 2: 960
Mode 3: 1280
Mode 4: 1920

FullscreenImages
Crops all letterboxed images to fill the screen.
Note: Pillarboxing may still occur because the images aren't 16:9.


Silent Hill 3

FixFMV
Corrects the aspect ratio of FMVs.

Prevents the game from randomly limiting the frame rate to 30.
Note: Disable this feature if you're unable to maintain 60 fps.

ReduceCutsceneFOV
Cutscenes will use vert- scaling to hide off-screen characters.
This feature is best used with DisableCutsceneBorders enabled.

SH2Reference
Enables several SH2 references for new saves.
Existing saves will remain the same regardless if this feature is enabled or not.

FogComplexity
The higher the value the more detailed the fog appears.
Note: Use a lower value if your computer is having performance issues.

Solves an issue with the game not working on some computers.

DisableRegistryDependency
Allows the game to work without the use of the registry. This also disables safe mode as a side-effect of not reading the registry values.
