the game hangs with 100% cpu use #42

Happened a couple of times with GHC 6 and 7.
No monster sees the player and the player does nothing special
(e.g. searches), so it may be a loop in the AI code after my rewrite,
when the monsters spawn and, e.g., push each other.

Happens with the vty frontend, too. No useful backtrace. Will trace stuff manually.
