I am getting this in the clean NEUS survey data

which does not seem normal? I don't remember whether we had the possibility to transform abundance/weights in cpue/cpua for NEUS?

I had to modify the survey summary to plot num and wgt instead of num_cpue or num_cpua and wgt_cpue or wgt_cpua, and remembered there was a choice not to transform into cpue/cpua because they are constant variables in the survey

Hello!

Although this is closed, I found complete zeros in the clean+compiled files with flags from the NEUS survey in wgt/num CPUE and CPUA columns:

As you can see below, the raw numbers and wgts are intact. I can generate new columns with raw values but is there a further issue with the QA/QC?

Thank you!

it's because we don't have precise data for this survey of haul duration or swept area, making the cpua/cpue variables not that interesting. I guess it could be replaced with NAs rather than 0.

I guess NA does make more sense than 0, since it would more clearly be "not available" rather than a true zero.

Thank you! More scrupulous reading on my part would have done the trick.
