Bundle specific shims with asc instead of relying on defaults #1405

This started as an attempt to properly fix #1398, but turned out that path-browserify 1.0.1 still suffers from the problem, so I applied the preliminary fix in #1399 within the shim directly.

Anyhow, this now puts us in control of the specific shims being bundled, so if anything breaks in the future, we at least have the tools at hand to fix it directly in code instead of relying on external code to be updated.
