I am running the Atmosphere Chat sample on Tomcat 7.0.29. Connecting with Firefox 14.0.1, I get:

Atmosphere Chat. Default transport is WebSocket, fallback is long-polling
Detecting what the browser and server are supporting

jsonp supported: true
long-polling supported: true
streaming supported: true
ajax supported: true
websocket supported: true
sse supported: true

The Connecting... never goes away.

On the contrary, the sample works fine on: Google Chrome 20.0.1132.57 and Opera 12.00 (Atmosphere connected using sse)

Platform: Mac OS X, 10.6.8
Using the latest Atmosphere code with commit: 056ea61

Interesting problem (on my side) - It turns out that in "Private Browsing" mode everything works but it normal mode (even with all add-ons disabled, cache cleaned etc. it does not work.) Need to investigate further. Thanks for your response.

Hello ghillet did you get this resolved? I am using basically the chat application but cannot get it to work in firefox, am using firefox 4.0b12, but I have no problem in chrome - looks like GET is not working

It is stuck here
GET http://localhost:8080/chat?X-Atmosphere-tracking-id=307f817b-bb6b-45df-9ed9-69f5df256e52&X-Atmosphere-Framework=1.1.0&X-Atmosphere-Transport=long-polling&X-Atmosphere-TrackMessageSize=true&X-Cache-Date=0&Content-Type=application/json&X-atmo-protocol=true&_=1366395184932

which is the ajaxRequest.send method call in jquery.atmosphere

Will appreciate any help
