The default input focus outline is hideous in Safari (fuzzy blue), and under some circumstances, can appear cut-off.

This removes the default input focus outline, adding a minimal dark border upon focus instead.

I like this idea! Going to wait on merging until we get some more feedback on the ticket.

@hugobaeta

If it's well documented and explicit change in the input (can't be a subtle color change), I don't see why not.

@lukecarbis

Great idea. I'd keep the outline: 0, and drop the border.

@tnorthcutt

IMO, this makes for a pretty subtle indication that an element has focus, especially if the surrounding color is anything darker than a pretty light gray. We should keep in mind that many people extensively use the keyboard for navigation and/or need more pronounced indicators of focus due to vision difficulties.

The fuzzy blue focus indicator used by webkit is a strong indication that an element has focus.

I'd like to close this. The proposed change is much too subtle and default browser focus styles are perfectly fine, IMO.

Agree with @tnorthcutt and @philiparthurmoore - the browser default should be maintained for those who need it.
