[Feature request] Standalone / custom SMTP server

It would be a nice feature if also standalone SMTP servers can be added or custom SMTP server settings be used.

Hi @strarsis, we currently support Mailchimp, Constant Contact and Campaign Monitor as email service provider options. You'll need to set up an account with one of these ESPs to use this plugin. More info in the public documentation: https://newspack.pub/support/engagement/newsletters/

@strarsis sure, if you'd like you can reopen this issue and edit the initial description to add a feature request for custom SMTP support. Please be as detailed as possible about what you expect to be able to configure and how you'd expect to use the new feature when authoring newsletters. We'll review internally and respond to this thread with any dev plans after that.
