  • On a single site install, set the Single Course page displays setting to Course Excerpt in the Courses section.
  • Uncheck the Users must be logged in to view Course and Lesson content setting in the General section.
  • Add an excerpt to a course.
  • Browse to the single course page for that course. Note that the full course description, and not the excerpt, is displayed.

The Single Course page displays setting isn't terribly useful. It doesn't make much sense that if someone enters a course description, that they wouldn't want to show it anywhere on their site in its entirety.

Given this, and the fact that the full course description is always displayed, let's simplify and remove the Single Course page displays setting altogether.
