Preloading deletes the old cache files for each page as it goes but sometimes it deletes the homepage and then deletes everything else because they're sub directories. See: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/preload-cache-doesnt-seem-to-preload-all-pages/
It should only delete posts or pages.
