Hi, everyone! Thanks, |
we're in fact going to track this here, so re-opening |
+1 would love to see Go support for Functions! |
@mxplusb thanks for the interest. We have started actively working on this so expect more news soon! |
@vladbarosan - Is work still in progress for this functionality? Just wondering if it had been rescheduled given the removal of the "in progress" label. |
Hi all and thank you for your interest! Looking forward to your feedback and to refining the Azure Go Functions experience to meet your needs. You can now sign up for the preview at https://aka.ms/gofunc-signup. We'll then invite you to the private repo and send instructions for getting started. |
Do we know if there is any work on this front? Any idea when the go functions might be available on Azure? |
Hi @cbananth this is still in private preview. Please signup using the form if you would like access. Tagging @asavaritayal to comment on a timeline for a public preview. @eduardolaureano |
also @joshgav can you please give me and @asavaritayal access to https://aka.ms/gofunc-signup ? |
Hi @joshgav, can I have access to https://aka.ms/gofunc-signup ? |
Any update on this? |
Hello, we are evaluating next steps for Go Azure Functions at this time. Stay tuned for updates. Alternatively, you can also sign up for the private preview - https://aka.ms/goazurefunctions. Thanks for the continued interest. |
Is there any ETA on when this reaches general public availability? |
I've tried to sign up a few times (but never got anywhere). Guessing there is some criteria that I'm not meeting (will try and not take that personally ;) ). Just wondering if it's possible to confirm that my application was submitted (but rejected)... or if there is no trace of my applications. |
@kpfaulkner @smartip-io It seems like they only accept Microsoft employees in the beta and it seems like the person leading the project left. |
Ahh thanks for the update. So itching to use Go with AF's, woul be so useful :( |
I'm no longer at Microsoft so unfortunately can't tell you the current state of this anymore. We'll have to wait for the current team to reply. |
What is the status on this? |
2 years? It would be great to see this rolling into production now. |
Come on guys it's been years, we're holding back on azure funcs until golang support! Please make make available!! |
Thank you for the comments on this github issue. We evaluated this and decided on exploring alternative ways of bringing your own language workload to Azure Functions which Go developers can benefit from. This will be different from the go-language-worker that we had previewed earlier. I will update this when we have more to share. Thanks again for your patience and involvement. |
Hope you would soon update this issue. Thanks. |
@kulkarnisonia16 Congratulations! Are there any technical docs about it? |
Definitely keen to try this out! |
I hope to be able to get to experimenting with Azure functions, using gollvm |
Go Functions are now in private preview. Sign up here: https://aka.ms/gofunc-signup and we'll invite you and send instructions. Thanks!
