azure vm capture does not capture attached disks. (Works from Azure portal) #1268

On a running Ubuntu 14.04 image, run these commands from the Azure CLI tools:

azure vm disk attach-new
(run waagent -deprovision on vm)
azure vm shutdown
azure vm capture

This results in a captured image that only contains the VHD for OS disk but not the additional data disk.

If instead you shutdown and capture the image from the Azure portal, this results with an image that contains the attached data disk.

This is a duplicate of #1191. We are triaging this issue in our internal repo. Will update this thread once we have a fix in place. Thanks for reporting the issue @Phiche, @rajinders
