A quick glance at the pull request overview shows a very large number of pull requests with no response at all. At the same time this is perhaps one of the fastest developing branches of computer science. I think it is important to find a way to improve the rate of pull request (and issue) processing for caffe to stay competitive.

I know that maintaining open source software takes a lot of time and effort. So thank you to the current maintainers for doing the work so far. Maybe it is time to take on additional maintainers with merge permission though? The large number of pull requests also shows there is a lot of community interest in the project, so finding extra maintainers should be possible.

Thanks for the concern. We're going to review the current scheme after the ICCV deadline 03/17. Until then, happy brewing ☕️

Are there any updates?

We are inviting more maintainers from the community and promoting current collaborators to full rights over issues and PRs. Stay tuned.

Could you give a short status update? Are there new maintainers?
