Template Protocol support for logging rather than disconnect on timeout #565

Currently if the Template Protocol times out on a response from the target it disconnects and reconnects. This is annoying when dealing with SCPI targets as they have commands that don't send responses. They also don't send responses if you mistype a command. This errors should be logged (by default) and the protocol can have an option to disconnect.
