I'm running Linphone Desktop 4.1.1 on Windows 10 and cannot get audio output via speakers or headphones using WASAPI Realtek. I've tested Linphone Desktop on multiple Windows 10 PC's and the only ones that produce sound output have 'WASAPI Speakers (High Definition Audio Device)' for hardware. How can I get audio output with WASAPI Realtek? The Linphone Desktop audio output doesn't appear in the Windows 10 Volume Mixer as well.

Similar issue here. I have also Win 10, Linphone 4.1.1 and Realtek High Definition Audio. Which works though as soon as I am using my via USB connected JABRA speaker it does not work anymore. Does the WASAPI causes the issue? Any ideas? Thanks

Simlular issue here too. Sound via WASAPI does´nt work any longer. Jabra headphones also dont work. Only a small cracking noise hearable at begin of an connection.

Similar issue audio works fine, but not on the correct device I can't choose Headset
Windows 10, Realtek

Have headset in front ports and speakers in back.
Wanting the ringer on speakers but Capture and Playback on Headset for actual calls.

This Problem still seems to be present. Does anybody has a fix?

Hi, did you tested with https://www.linphone.org/snapshots/windows/app/Linphone-4.2.0-alpha.55+08b62fbf-win32.exe ?
If yes, we need more logs to know what could be happend

Hi,

Hi, I just did again and reproduced the issue, here's the log file generated.

Hi @julonexus
Recently got my hands on a new PC and have downloaded the latest Linphone 4.2.0 from the snapshots site will give it another try soon, but I might just have to buy a cable headset instead of a bluetooth one I guess.

Hi, got the same issue with a Jabra Talk 25 headset. Any way to fix this? I noticed that the ringtone works fine with the headset but the incoming audio from a call not

I have qc35 von bose and tried latest version Linphone-4.2.0-alpha.92+2f586bfb-win32.exe (4.1.x is not able to produce sound output). It crashes when I go to preferences -> audio.

Further even with latest version there is no sound output.

Hi all,

I also seem to have this issue on a new install of 4.2.1 - Qt5.14.2 Core 4.4.0-3-gcfaf00e3c

I am attempting to use my headphones which work for every other application I have on my PC however for Linphone it does not work. Mic works however.

If I switch to my HDMI output on my monitor then I am indeed receiving audio.

Have not found a solution yet, ended up just using Linphone on my cellphone with bluetooth headset which I also use with my PC for music and other app calls.

Kinda irksome.. would be nice to have Linphone running on my desktop using my headset.

Hey guys, just found a possible solution. On my PC it just helped to activate Windows spatial sound for the affected device (Corsair Virtuoso headset in my case). Go to the settings of your device and chose spatial sound. There you can activate it by chosing "Windows Sonic for Headphones", see MS KB: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/how-to-turn-on-spatial-sound-in-windows-10-ca2700a0-6519-448d-5434-56f499d59c96

I'm adding a short screenshot (though in German, but maybe helps eitherway)

You can also do this by right clicking on the speaker icon in the taskbar -> spatial sound -> and select Windows Sonic for Headphones. It certainly seems like a viable workaround in the meantime. Example: https://i.imgur.com/gTpgTSr.jpeg

The downside to this is that I personally think it makes other audio sound a bit awful. I am honestly baffled that this bug still exists. No other app on my computer has this sort of trouble. Corsair HS70 Pro headphones.

4.3.0 managed to break both the logging and the audio, reverting back to 4.2.5 worked for me.

I had the same issue on version 4.3.2 (but with a Sound Blaster device instead of Realtek) and activating spacial sound then de-activating it fixed it for me. Thank you stephendt for the suggestion.

This appears to be a bug in Windows' audio engine, of which there are many.

We faced the same challenge here. One device is without audio. All the other devices are with audio.

In our case, to fix this challenge, we simply deactivated the echo cancellation in Linphone
