Conilon is a lightweight distributed computing platform. It allows Java-based tasks to be computed on a grid of computers with minimal effort and overhead. The necessary Java classes are loaded by worker nodes as needed.

You can find installation instruction on the Wiki and more information in the two following publications:

  • Silva, Hélio, Sancho M. Oliveira, and Anders Lyhne Christensen. "Conillon: A lightweight distributed computing platform for desktop grids." Information Systems and Technologies (CISTI), 2011 6th Iberian Conference on. IEEE, 2011.
  • Silva, Hélio, Anders Lyhne Christensen, and Sancho Oliveira. "Performance study of Conillon: a platform for distributed computing." Proceedings of the 2011 Workshop on Open Source and Design of Communication. ACM, 2011.
