This is the last pre-alpha build so the next update will the alpha versions, more information will be talked about on the blog page. Added a new config file which changes how BlueLight functions and boots it's the new
/etc/bluelight.json file, it'll be referred to as the BlueLight JSON Config. The functions the new BlueLight JSON Config file adds is VT Switching enabling and updating OS.js on boot. More information on the BlueLight JSON Config can be found on the wiki. The settings application now has been patched to fix the updater. The installer has more information on the Disks and Users screen. All packages have been updated to their latest version. BlueTooth support has also been added.
Updated kernel and packages to their latest version. Added Plymouth for a bootsplash. Started adding fingerprint support.
The OS.js standard dark theme has been included. Chromium has been replaced with a launcher using electron. The installer now has a license agreement and timezone selection.
The installer is now shipped and works. Issue #2 was fixed. Renamed from OS.js Linux to BlueLight. The Writer application is now shipped.
This update completely fixes the network manager stuff. Disks now automount with
autofs. Next update will be audio and may be delayed due to audio being more complicated.
The syslinux boot menu has been styled a bit differently so it looks cleaner now. Chromium now has proper window size. PulseAudio is fixed by adding
pulseaudio-alsa. Network device managing is now added. The
osjs user group is now allowed to use
In this version, the browser application and xterm application is shipped in the OS.js installation. So now you'll be able to use the terminal without having to go to a virtual terminal. Experimental stuff for chromium has been enabled. A patch for the
sysinfo application has been applied. Updates to various packages have also been applied. Chromium now opens at the top left on the screen instead of a different spot. PulseAudio is now being shipped and starts up automatically. OS.js now auto logins as the
osjs user making it so you no longer have to type in the login information in the Live CD. The bootloader menu styling has been changed and uses an OS.js style instead of the Arch Linux style.
/etc/os-release has been changed to have the proper values now.
OS.js Linux works, this is the initial release of OS.js Linux where some things haven't been renamed from
Arch Linux to
OS.js Linux. The system works the best in VirtualBox and QEmu needs to have at least 1GB of RAM allocated.
