When a customer checks out and updates the quantities in the cart concurrently, the amount paid may not be equal to the order total. This has been reproduced on the GA 5.0.1 Demo site.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start demo site, create a customer, create/pick test product.
  2. Have the customer add the product to the cart and go through checkout up until the complete order step.
  3. In a separate tab or window, log in again as the customer go to the cart page.
  4. Finish checkout (click the Complete Order button) and update the amount in the cart as close to the same time as possible.

We have reproduced this behavior on a single machine, by performing the above steps in two separate browser windows.

Expected Result:
The “Amount Paid” and “Grand Total” fields match in the order summary page for the customer.

Actual Result:
The “Grand Total” and order items show the updated items but the amount paid only reflects the original items.
