The primary objective of the project is to create pilot online Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses for adult literacy practitioners across Europe. These pilot Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) were designed, implemented and tested between 2021-2023 and are based on the recognised needs of adult literacy practitioners.
The six courses piloted were:
- Approaching Digital Teaching and Learning
- Basic Literacy
- Diversity and Interculturalism
- Empowering Adult Learners of Basic Skills
- Digital Competence
- Facilitating the Learning Process
The second aim of the project is to develop pilot Open Educational Resources (OERs) which are resource documents designed to accompany the CPD courses. These pilot resources were designed to complement the learning experience.
The EBSN Professional Development series is open-source and licenced under Creative Commons 4.0 Attribution License.
This means you are free to:
- Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
- Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material
The resources that are available here should help you with this process. We have included:
- 6 Courses saved in common cartridge (.imscc) format. These should plug in to any Learning Management System
- 4 Open Educational Resources (OERs)
