clear seems to be not working on esgf search interface

g) After deleting the current selections and attempting to start a new search the project/institute/model selection widgets may exhibit the following malfunctions:

*) strange overlap behaviors in project/model list widgets.
*) failing to list all the available projects.
*) failing to reset (project button not available).
