Did you happen to mean don't insert the anythingControls div when buildNavigation: false and buildStartStop: false?

If so, then yes the anythingControls div is still added inside of the markup. It contains an empty unordered list (for the navigation).

I'm not sure why it's a problem but If it is you can just hide it completely using display: none:

.anythingSlider .anythingControls { display: none !important; }

If it's really a problem, then yes, I could just completely remove it within the script.

thanks for correction yes i meant buildNavigation: false; buildStartStop: false. i have multiple sliders in my page. some with controls, some without so the general css display: none does not work. if i do not remove the div and do not hide it with display: none it inserts some extra spacing to my layout:( so i think it would be nicer to not include the anythingControls div to the dome
