@CSSEGISandData A few minutes ago, the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Social Affairs announced the very first case in Baden-Württemberg. Source: "Ministry for Social Affairs and Integration Baden-Württemberg" According to the German media here, the first case also occurred in North Rhine-Westphalia. However, there is still no official confirmation from the authorities. I am following it on both sides of the ministry. At least with the first case in the state of Baden-Württemberg this is the 17th case in Germany. If the authorities of North Rhine-Westphalia still confirm it, this would be the 18th case. But we should wait and see. |

@CSSEGISandData It's confirmed! The 18th case in Germany comes from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The government of North Rhine-Westphalia can't even get it to report. However, the press office of the affected county has confirmed it. All schools in the county will be closed tomorrow. Source: "Landkreis Heinsberg" (Heinsberg County) (Attention, the website of the county is currently overloaded and does not load properly anymore) |

The 19th case in Germany is confirmed. This is the second case in North Rhine-Westphalia. It's the wife of the 18th case from last night. The 18th case is currently in mortal danger. Soruce: Universitätsklinikum Düsseldorf (University Hospital Düsseldorf) The university hospital in Düsseldorf, where the two cases from North Rhine-Westphalia are now being treated, has published an official confirmation. (Unfortunately, the North Rhine-Westphalian government is not able to publish press releases in a timely manner. This authority is asleep. A certificate of poverty. Unbelievable how incompetent the Authority is.). |

At shortly before 10 pm German time we got the last case confirmed so far. So far it is the number 115. I will now try to continue step by step as I have done with the sources so far. It will take some time. :) Edit: 4 new ones from the federal state Hessen. = 119 |

Hello everybody, I've spent the last few hours trying to find an easier solution. In the last 48 hours there have been so many new cases here in Germany that I have not been able to keep up with this issue by posting the verified figures with sources. If I am on the research search and find what I am looking for, I compare the data several times, before I enter them into a separate Excel list, which I keep per state. I still operate a website in the German-speaking area about COVID-19, where I make the German data available to the readers. I have the website and a Twitter channel. That took me a little bit of time. Sorry. It is a tragedy of our German authorities concerning the information policy. There is nothing to be found bundled. Everything is scattered. Here in GitHub I was always here to comment and give feedback. I have never created my own repository in my account before. But I have now. I hope I did it right. Here I've put together all confirmed German cases: Maybe one or the other can do something with it. |

So far I can't find the numbers and country names on the interactive map. Why? The cases have been known for several hours.
The first time there are 2 confirmed infections in Austria. This was announced by the Austrian federal authorities almost two hours ago.

And in Croatia, as of today, there is also a first confirmed infected person.
