Hello! We will remove 14 US cases from yesterday's tables (Feb 18).
CDC told us today that they aren't reporting the cruise ship passengers as US cases. Therefore, we will remove those cases from today and yesterday's report and dashboard. We were referring to a report from the New York Times yesterday. Sorry for the confusion.

Japan has 84 confirmed cases and Others (the Diamond Princess) has 621. All updated in the dashboard. Thanks!

@CSSEGISandData Looks like 621 is the latest number for Others (the Diamond Princess).

According to https://www.mhlw.go.jp/stf/seisakunitsuite/bunya/newpage_00032.html, Japan has 73 cases I'm wondering where did you get 84 for Japan.

FWIW, I don’t agree with taking these away from the US count. All but a couple of people were infected in China and we count them here because they are here. I feel more comfortable as well seeing them on the map. Otherwise it’s like we just disappeared them somewhere. How will we show recovered and dead? Meh, data is data, I just don’t care for it.
