I'm fairly new to github so I'm not sure this is the place to do this, but I was thinking it would be nice if on the rollups if Lint gave the suggested targets for floats and such. Similar to the way validators do for file size. That said, It would also be nice if to see CSS Lint eventually became a css toolbox that also offered a validator and minimizer.
I'm not sure I understand what you're asking for, can you provide an example?
CSS Lint will do some basic validation in the future, but it will stick to verifying code. That's not to say that we wouldn't also create a minimizer, but it wouldn't be under this umbrella.
Sure. CSS Lint currently outputs this when you have to many !important rules. It displays the count, but not a target. What is the max number of !important rules that I should be using?
Too many !important declarations (52), be careful with rule specificity
Perhas something like...
Too many !important declarations (52), be careful with rule specificity (Try keeping the number below 20 to avoid possible conflicts)
Or something to that effect?
