0.6.4 Release Notes

New Features

• Full keyboard control in Mirror. Click a device to focus it, turn on the
  Keyboard button, and your keystrokes go straight to the phone:
  • Editing shortcuts behave the way they do on your computer — Ctrl+A,
    Ctrl+C, Ctrl+X, Ctrl+V, Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y, and arrow/Home/End/
    PgUp/PgDn navigation with Shift to select. Copy and cut also land the
    text on your computer's clipboard.
  • Ctrl+Shift+V types your clipboard as keystrokes without touching the
    phone's own clipboard.
  • Device actions use an Alt prefix so they never collide with typing:
    Alt+H home, Alt+B back, Alt+S recent apps, Alt+M menu, Alt+N
    notifications, Alt+R rotate, Alt+P power, Alt+O screen off/on,
    Alt+↑/Alt+↓ volume, Alt+F maximize the focused device, and Alt+K to
    hand the keyboard back to Cellhasher.
  • With group control on, keystrokes and pastes reach every device in the sync
    group.
• Mouse shortcuts in Mirror. Right-click is Back, middle-click is Home, the
  scroll wheel scrolls (hold Shift for horizontal), and a swipe keeps tracking
  even when the pointer leaves the device tile.

Improvements

• macOS windows now use the native title bar controls. The app's own
  minimize/maximize/close buttons are hidden on macOS in favor of the standard
  traffic lights.
• Linux windows can be resized by dragging their edges and corners.

Fixes

• Linux download and package names no longer contain spaces, which
  previously broke download links and install commands that weren't quoted.

Maintenance

• Updated dependencies to their latest minor versions.

Linux Installation

Requires Debian 12+ or Ubuntu 22.04+ (64-bit). Packages: .deb, .rpm, and
.AppImage.

The AppImage bundles its own FFmpeg codecs, so it needs no extra packages
besides a display server. If it fails with a FUSE error, either install
libfuse2 (sudo apt install libfuse2) or run it without FUSE:

Troubleshooting

• "error while loading shared libraries: libwebkit2gtk-4.1-0" — the WebKit
  runtime is missing; install it with sudo apt install libwebkit2gtk-4.1-0.
• "version GLIBC_2.39 not found" — the distro is older than Debian 12 /
  Ubuntu 22.04; use the AppImage or upgrade.

macOS Installation

Requires macOS 10.13+. Works on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs (universal
binary).

Download dmg-0.6.4.zip, unzip it, open the .dmg, and drag
Cellhasher_Control.app into Applications.

Note: The app isn't notarized by Apple yet, so Gatekeeper may refuse to
open it as downloaded ("Cellhasher_Control.app is damaged and can't be
opened" / can't verify the developer). Clear the quarantine attribute before
first launch:
