Getting started

To be able to use run this program you will need the following hardware:

  • Raspberry Pi Pico (headered)
  • USB breakout board, male and female (headered)
  • Dupont Wires to connect together

These should then be arranged in the following layout, it is easier to attach them to a breadboard but not necessary Wire Diagram

To flash the firmware you will need to clone and open this repository in VS code with the Raspberry Pi Pico official extension installed, from there it should offer you an option to compile the code. Then attach the Pi Pico over USB while holding down the BOOTSEL button, it should appear as a USB stick if you did it correctly, then press the run button and it will image the Pi Pico. Then just detatch the Pico and place between a keyboard and host and it should automatically start running.
