Since newest version 4.3.0 (125) I have a new symptom. After receiving a message and after reading it I got again and again always two notifications at the very same second , that a new message arrived.
But I did read it already.
And this happens all over the day, really again and again.

Sounds really annoying :(
I think a year ago there was a similar issue?

If it's the "New Message!" notifications, go to Account Settings -> Server Info -> Reset Push Account.

Also do you have MAM enabled?

Sorry for being stupid. How are the steps to enable MAM?
Your advice to reset the push account I did now. Hope it will stop it.

We had this a while ago when we started doing push notifications. If I remember correctly, we were receiving the push notification but then also a local notification when we logged in. I doubt we handled this in a "good" way (which is why I never tried submitting it @chrisballinger), but what we did is basically turn off In-app notifications in OTRAppDelegate for 15 seconds after the app comes up to allow for messages to come in that user already received push notifications. Not sure if MAM fixes this or not, we haven't seen it since we made that change. In case that helps at all

Sorry, your suggestions don‘t solve the problem.
Meanwhile I habe to reset the push notifications every day.

A user with chatsecure 4.2.1 told me that he received multiple notifications per message. MAM is active on the server (prosody 0.10) as well as Chris Ballinger's mod_cloud_notify-Patch.

@jotwewe Have them reset their Push Account in Settings -> Account Info (i) -> Server Information -> Reset
