The Sideeffect.io Application, originally code named "Nebula", is an open-source application that makes it easy to compare adverse effects associated with a set of drugs, either in a treatment regimen or in comparison. It makes it easier to gather knowledge from the OpenFDA Adverse Events database. Additionally, it includes information from the AHRQ Medicine Panel Survery (MEPS). At the time of this release it is usable and functional, although we give no warranties and it should not be used for clinical purposes. It has a number of cosmetic bugs (capture as issues in this repo.) Furthermore, major feature enhancement that will improve the usefulness are underway, but were not quite done at midnight. It should be considered pre-production code.

This code was written for the 18F Agile BPA Requests For Quotes. However, we hope that it is usable in its own right, and not merely an exercise. It is released to public domain. We encourage you to follow the installation instructions and play with this code. If you find bugs or make improvements, please report them back to us.

This is a release made close to midnight on Thursday night, before the ORIGINAL deadline set by the GSA before the extension. We are recording it because we are proud of what we got done at the original deadline, although we hope to improve it further before the extended deadline.

By placing this in the public domain, we are giving you a legal right to do whatever you wish with this code, including attempting to commercialize it.
