The “examine” message in the trade menu is not cleared correctly.

If you trade with NPCs and press [?] to examine an item, you see the message “Examine which item?” If you choose an item and close the info screen afterwards, I would expect the message “Examine which item?” to be cleared correctly. But instead of this, only the bottom column of this message gets cleared, the rest doesn’t. The view to the helper text this blocked by a message which is irrelevant now.

Soyweiser claimed in a private message the bug has been fixed. The bug is not fixed for me on 5ed4d3b.
I use the ncurses version on GNU/Linux.
Edit: Oh wait, I just see the pull request isn’t merged …

He wrote a pr that adresses it, I've had no luck confirming the fix.
Partially because npcs are so damn unstable I keep hitting other crashes.

Same here. I was able to test it once and hit a crash on mine; since addressed. I think.
