Setting "Spawn rate scaling factor" below 1 sets it to 0 #2725

It displays ok (0.1-0.9) until restart, when display also resets to 0. In static mode no zombies spawn on streets, but child zombies spawn in schools and parks, and regular ones spawn in mansion and supermall.

Certain structures (especially the newer ones) come pre-populated. I imagine the Prison would also be packed in the situation you describe for instance.

I'm not able to duplicate this, can anyone confirm that this is happening to them?

In my tests neither the actual spawns nor the option set themselves to zero, even after saving/loading.

I've used Windows SDL from August 27, 28, 29 and 31.
Looks like it's ingame option screen bug, displaying values below 1 as 0, and setting it to 0 if any other option is changed and then saved. The value in options.txt stays set until that.

I can confirm it on Windows, only forced spawns like child zombies in parks and swimmer zombies in pools will appear.

When game reads saved options from data/options.txt, spawn rate is rounded down. At least on Windows with version 0.8-308-ge683a00

... if the decimal symbol for Windows is set for something else than dot. Like when some of us eurotrash like to use comma.
