Will have to check, they got reworked a bit such that it's not all-or-nothing, so you can have partial protection where you get your wetness mood bumped occasionally, which will I think level out at some point since it drops continuously. But it's also possible something is just broken :P |

Did this get addressed by the WATERPROOF flag you added, or was that something else? |

The WATERPROOF flag wasn't me. I added the RAINPROOF flag, which protects from rain better than WATERPROOF does, and protects from acid rain, same as a raincoat. In fact, that's all I did: changed the check for a raincoat into a check for the RAINPROOF flag. It's still far from right, though. No amount of WATERPROOF, RAINPROOF, and umbrella will keep you dry in much more than a light drizzle. |

The water/rain/whatever proof items do seem to behave a little inconsistenly. I've walked in a rain hood in rain, got no penalties, and in the same rain hood and in the same experimental and game, got -25 wet, and -16 another time... |

So far as I can tell, in order to guarantee dryness you need full-body WATERPROOF coverage (and once the second half lands, to not jump in the Deep Water). That derails adding the Wet morale. Otherwise, well the PR that landed means that rain gear still won't guarantee dryness but it ought to keep the Wet to a level where it doesn't markedly affect you. |

'When I wear a rain coat in the weak acid rain, I usually get the message "Your rain coat protects you from the acidic drizzle".
When I wear it in the ordinary rain, I stay dry, at least for some time, and even after it the wetness gain isn't as bad.
However, it seems that rain coats are the only piece of clothing that does it. Other waterproof clothing (such as the survivor suit) doesn't offer the protection, I don't get the aforementioned message, nor does wet gain in the rain seem slowed any much more than it would be by a, say, fur trenchcoat.
I am uncertain about umbrellas. Tried wielding one but got wet as usual.
Power armor does keep you dry but doesn't protect from acidic rain pain, oddly.
Is that working as intended?'
