I would like an option to toggle combat animations on and off.

This only really becomes annoying when using weapons with big burst fire, like turret mounted guns. 25 bullets flying through the air takes waaay too long with the bullet-by-bullet animations.

Aww. No making a minigun sit there and cap off all ~300 rounds per second? ;-P

I think this would be covered by an animation delay option. If you set it
to 0 I think it will effectively disable animations, and if that's not good
enough we can have -1 actually disable them. It should be fairly easy to
implement, just find all the places in the code that call nanosleep.

yes, please include an option to speed up and/or turn off animations, especially the guns with large bursts.

Heh, yeah i support the ability to speed them up, as it is, walking towards military bunkers without a ranged weapon takes an exorbitant amount of time.
