While it makes sense for fuel tanks not to be installable while using a wielder, it is a bit odd that you cannot use them with duct tape. it would be nice if the game gave you a warning why that heavy fuel tank you carry isn't valid.

And clean water filled metal tanks are also not valid objects to be used for installing water tanks.

Personally, I'd like to see a system that has a new part; tank quick-connect point. This would be a set of latches and pipes that allow you to quickly add and remove any tank type (water, gas, or hydrogen) quickly, easily and without tools, as long as the tile your installing to has a quick connect point installed there. This would bypass the problem of installing tanks with volatile contents, and also add a lot of possibility for other functionality.

Need to refill the RV's water tank, but can't get the RV close to the water source? Just unhook the tank, carry it over, refill it, and snap it back in. Have multiple vehicles, but not much fuel? Just keep one tank full of gas, and swap it between vehicles as needed.

I actually suggested a similar system to this earlier for vehicle batteries, but it never went anywhere. This would be great for underground crafting stations, as you could have a separate solar charging array on the surface to fill the batteries, and just carry them up/downstairs when needed.

Umm, what do you mean it never went anywhere? Batteries' contents are retained since 0.A.

I think he means it still requires a lot of tools and time to
install/remove them, which is a legit issue, battery swaps and tire changes
should be easier/faster than installing new frames etc.

The fix for this will be removing the ability to install with duct tape, nothing to see here.
