Adds an additional scenario that I decided to try making upon noticing a
large number of student professions.

  • School added as a start location. Was afraid it might not work, but it
did. Yay. You basically get plonked right in the middle of it.
  • Scenario lists all non-college student professions, plus the janitor
    and teacher.
  • Current scenario point cost is -1. Not entirely sure what cost would fit.

Good thinking, putting all the students into a unified scenario. I like it!

"points" : 0,

Double spacing after periods, please.

I figured it'd be an interesting idea. Now I just need a recommended point cost. On the one hand, you'd be surrounded by hostiles, most of which will be annoying to deal with due to (potential ) morale penalties plus decent evasion. On the other hand, the student professions (and Zoidberg...er, and the faculty) vary wildly in their usefulness. o3o

EDIT: Doh. Spess, right.

Update 2
1. Double the space, double the fun. Doh. o3o

A scenario with starting conditions this dangerous - and limited profession choices too - ought to give several bonus points; maybe two or three.

Hmm. That many? I was thinking 1 or 2, though that works too. owo

Not only are they going to have to choose from a limited selection of professions, they're starting out in a school - a place heavily populated with zombies by default - with an additional SUR_START flag on top of that. I think two bonus points for that danger is acceptable.

Ah, very well then.

Update 3
1. Point cost set to -2.

I wouldn't do a sur_start as the school is one of the more heavily populated zones that have zombies.+ schools are right in or close to cities.

Hmm. It would definitely fit with the idea of it being in session when things happen though. Plus it gives a good reason to add that negative point cost.

How crowded would it still end up being without the SUR_START flag?

On the inside you got regular zombies, but the outside is usually full of special zombies. I find taking the inner part of the school easier once you kill the zombies outside. Usually you need a mid-late game character.

The morale for killing child zombies is crippling for a beginning player, and the school has a lot of open windows in which zombies can see you

Hmm. Though I could've sworn that not having SUR_START has an affect on how many zombies spawn in the area right around you. Or is that exclusively for the map tile you spawn in?

Having the center tile of the school be clear and yet having the surrounding parts of the school still have enemies would work, I suppose. o.o

EDIT: If I DO remove the SUR_START flag, what should the point cost be?

EDIT 2: I guess 1 less point bonus will work, unless anyone suggests otherwise.

Chaosvolt
Update 4
1. Removed SUR_START flag.
2. Changed point cost to -1.
