The pods folder is becoming messy. We should store the folders of the Local Pods in a subfolder. Sources?

  • Sources
    • [Pod Name]
  • Target Support Files
    • [Target Name]
  • Headers
    • [Build]
    • [Public]
  • [External Specs]
  • Manifest.lock

Something like that?

Yes, but I would prefer to call this Podfile.lock with another name (like Pods.lock).

I would also add a Podspecs folder where we store all the podspecs (except inline ones) that we used to build the pods project. This should make clear to users what podspecs we used, and should make the pods folder more auto sufficient. (i.e. a podspec gets removed from a repo).

How about Manifest.lock? And I agree with also adding all the installed pod specs. Also, like @jonathanpenn suggested on #549, maybe we should drop inline podspecs?

How about Manifest.lock

Sounds good!

maybe we should drop inline podspecs?

I think that it would be a good idea.
