Subspec Installation Output Missing in 0.16.0 #667

@blakewatters

It looks like the installation output when installing a subspec was lost somewhere in the 0.16.0 development cycle.

Within my Podfile, I have tried both installation variations:

pod 'RestKit/Core', :local => 'Libraries/RestKit'
pod 'RestKit/Search', :local => 'Libraries/RestKit'
pod 'RestKit/Testing', :local => 'Libraries/RestKit'
# pod 'RestKit/Core', '0.20.0pre1'
# pod 'RestKit/Search', '0.20.0pre1'
# pod 'RestKit/Testing', '0.20.0pre1'

In both cases, the only installation notice I receive is for "Installing RestKit (0.20.0dev) defaulting to Core subspec [LOCAL]" or Installing RestKit (0.20.0pre1) defaulting to Core subspec".

The subspecs are indeed installed and appear in the Podfile.lock generated. The expected behavior would to output an installation message indicating that the subspecs are being installed.

Thanks for the report.

The expected behavior would to output an installation message indicating that the subspecs are being installed.

As far as I'm concerned, this has never been the case. As the pod is installed only once regardless of the subspecs activated. The only way to inspect the subspecs installed is from the groups generated in the Pods project.

@blakewatters please, reopen if I'm missing your point :smile:
