# scriptDebug Not a function — a top-level **script** in `src/` that demonstrates how to drive `simEigenmode` on a few example results files. It is the quickest way to reproduce the mode-simulation plots and to compare the two eigenvector conventions (new `[dx,dy]` vs old `[dx,-dy]`). Run it from the project root after `addpath('src')` (and with GranMA on the path, since `simEigenmode` uses its `polyeig`). ## Default Syntax ```matlab cd('~/repos/GranE'); addpath('src'); run('src/scriptDebug.m') ``` ## What it does It clears the workspace and fires off a small set of `simEigenmode` calls, each picking a different results file and option combination: ```matlab clear all close all % New convention [dx,dy], mode closest to omega = 0.3 simEigenmode("./OLD.mat", scalModeFreq = .3, loadPolyData = true) % Old convention [dx,-dy] — flip the y-DOF rows simEigenmode("./OLD.mat", scalModeFreq = .3, loadPolyData = true, negDy = true) % New-convention results file, omega = 0.3 simEigenmode("./results_2D_iso_N100_P0.1_Seed5_gamma_3.00e-03.mat", scalModeFreq = .3) % Old-convention results file with negDy simEigenmode("./results_2D_iso_N100_P0.1_Seed5_gamma_1.00e-02.mat", scalModeFreq = .3, negDy = true) ``` Each call writes `data/junkyard/simEigenmode.png` (so the figure is overwritten per call — save it between calls if you want to keep them all). ## Notes - The file paths in the script are relative to where you run it; point them at real results files in `data/eigenData/` before running. - This is a scratch/debug script, not a public API — use the individual `simEigenmode(...)` calls (see the [simEigenmode](simEigenmode.md) page) for your own workflows.
