I was having a problem where an old stylesheet was suddenly displaying a little differently in Webkit. Looking at the generated CSS I could see that line-height set by the vertical rhythm module now had 15 instead of 3 decimal places. This only seemed to make a difference in Webkit based browsers so presumably the others already round to 3.

The reason behind this is that Sass 3.1.8 added customisable number precision. It says that it defaults to 3 but it doesn't seem like the default ever works (at least in conjunction with Compass).

For me the fix was to add the following to my config.rb:

Sass::Script::Number.precision = 3
