The YouTube player currently supports 5 of the 6 YouTube playback statuses. It's just missing UNSTARTED, which first broadcasts when the player loads, and broadcasts again when the video cannot be autoplayed.

I believe this playback status would help developers determine when a touch event is required before playing. For example, devices in low power mode and browsers in Incognito mode.
