Releases: CurryKitten/CurryKitten-Sim
0.56-Beta
This release is the result of s major code restructure to allow future updates to levels/scenarios etc to be much easier to add/change/etc. This saved around 400MB off the final package, so this saving was used to put a new Valley level - which is the major update for this release. There are a bunch of further tweaks/changes/fixes as well, including -
- Recognition of potential different Hz rates for screen/graphics card combos
- Change to the FPV camera to stop distortion in the centre of the image
- Added a frame counter to assist in getting the right detail profile for your system
- Fix to the online "radar map" display - it now shows the actual map you are on!
- Both Intel and Apple Silicon supported in the MacOS build
Sadly, because of the necessity to move to a new version of the Unity Game Engine, I'm no longer able to build for Linux32. I did work on attempting to manually backport some stuff, but the new level uses direct features that aren't in the previous versions.
There's YouTube video going through some of these changes here https://youtu.be/6w2vdPSHOVA
0.55-Beta
The main feature in this release is the new City level, along with new car/plane chases. You can see more about this release in the following YouTube video: https://youtu.be/RUstuI_hK1o
0.54-Beta
There's a youTube video that describes the main points of the update here: https://youtu.be/8R_YOzKK8MY
The main feature of this release is the "Quick Menu" where you can press the mouse button to see all the possible keyboard shortcuts you can use and then either press the button to use it, or use the mouse to use the button as part of the UI.
Also added (via a suggested) an indicator of the edge on the moving platform in Quad-ball so players could see if they were close to getting it over to the next platform before it started moving again.
Also in Quad-ball, there's a slightly animated menu from the main sim pause game (ooooh, animation) some fixes to the How to play text and the game shows the trackname/artist whenever a new track starts up.
Lots of small bug fixes.
0.53-Beta
In this release, there are two large features. The first is the separation and visualisation of the rates (so Roll/Pitch/Yaw now have individual RC Rate/SuperRate/RC Expo values). The flight assist page will show these values and a graph showing the curve with a model of a quad that shows the effect of the rates on the model.
The other big feature is Quad-Ball, the game. The initial 10 levels have been produced along with 5 music tracks, Online leaderboards (for the Steam version) and it's own menu UI and rate setup.
The usual bug fixes have gone in - along with quite a major one that was in there for a long time and wasn't noticed until AndyRC was doing Acro in LOS. It turned out the pivot point of the quad was out, so the axis rotation was doing so around the wrong point. Apparantly it wasn't very noticeable in FPV but was much more so in LOS.

0.52-Beta
In this release, the big feature is the addition of weather effects. We also have some new objects to fly around: the cooling towers and the Car is made user-playable (as an experimental feature)
Also numerous bug fixes and some small changes. One of which people seemed to moan about was the default rates on the plane were too sensitive, so the default now makes it much more gentle.

0.51-Beta
This release attempts to make the setup of radios/controllers much easier with the main radio setup page now just doing the basic stick configuration and the new advanced setup page letting users individually setup their sticks/switches/buttons with game actions, or calibrate separately. An explanation with more detail is available via YouTube here https://youtu.be/evYGzcN8m0c
0.50-Beta
The main update in this release is to add the ability for users to use the plane in the online multiplayer option - you can fly all planes/all quads, or a mix of both. Rules have been added when rooms are created. Also fixed the annoying shadow flicker. You can see more about this release in this YouTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQHrHrbJq90
